A small driver program in the computer
makes AutoRun for USB flash drives work. This driver program is
installed automatically in the computer where USB AutoRun Creator is
installed, but in other computers you or or your end-user must install
the driver program before AutoRun will work. This only need to be done
once, thereafter will full AutoRun be supported for USB sticks
distributed from you, in that computer.
The setup program for the USB driver is located in the
SETUP-USB-Supervisor folder in the USB flash drive if default
settings are used. The name of the setup program is
SETUP-USB-SUPERVISOR.EXE. The folder is created and the setup
program copied when you create an AutoRun USB flash drive via the USB
AutoRun Creator editor.
If you run the SETUP-USB-SUPERVISOR.EXE setup program, AutoRun
functionality for USB flash drives will be added to that computer. This
functionality can be uninstalled whenever you or your user want that via
Windows Control panel (choose Add/Remove program or similar). The
name of the program to uninstall is SamLogic USB Supervisor.
