The /BUILDFOLDER parameter
Setup packages are
normally build (created) in a folder that is specified
in the project file (.VIP file). The folder that is specified the Folder text box in the
Create setup package dialog box is used as a build folder
(see the picture below).
But if you want to have
your setup package build in another folder you can specify it by
using the /BUILDFOLDER command line parameter (e.g.
"/BUILDFOLDER:C:\MyCreatedSetups\Setup1"). If this
parameter is specified, the folder specified in the project file
will be ignored.
If the folder does
not exists on the drive, it will be created automatically. This
is true whether you use the /BUILDFOLDER parameter or
not.
